    Description

    The successful candidate will be expected to have significant knowledge and experience of working with people who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder, and competent to support their physiological and psychological needs as they arise.

    The vision is to offer a new choice to people aged 16 and over living with an eating disorder in the UK, which enables meaningful treatment, positive outcomes and a sustainable recovery.

     

    What you’ll do

    • Work with other physicians and healthcare professionals.
    • Plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide clients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living.
    • Provide a service for individuals with complex mental health, physical and social care needs who present with an eating disorder and who require intensive day care intervention, as an alternative to hospital admission
    • Provide specialist, evidence-based interventions for young people and adults with eating disorders such as, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder eating disorders, unspecified.

    What we’re looking for

    • Valid NMC registration under Mental Health
    • 2 years post qualification experience and experience working with clients with eating disorders
    • Demonstrates the ability to critically evaluate current research and apply to practice
    • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
    • Ability to work without direct supervision

    You will also need to:

    • Demonstrates the ability to critically evaluate current research and apply to practice.
    • Review and reflect on own practice and performance through effective use of professional and operational supervision and appraisal.
